Jenkins Appointed to Environmental Protection Board

Steven Jenkins, President & CEO of Water Recovery, Inc. and member of the Board of Managers for Moran Environmental Recovery, has been appointed by Mayor John Peyton to the City of Jacksonville's Environmental Protection Board (EB) for the term of 2009-2012.

The EPB's mission is to enhance the quality of life for Jacksonville's citizens through protection of the natural environment. The EB acts as the hearing platform for the public with regard to environmental matters, conducts extensive public educational and outreach programs, promulgates local environmental rules and oversees the enforcement of environmental regulations.

Jenkins was selected to the board partially due to his extensive professional experience in the environmental field and his activities in community and industry related association. His professional work has included work in hazardous materials and industrial/marine cleaning industry for several companies since 1986.
